Student Transport

Important Information

  1. Students must arrive at Adventures Unlimited between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. the first day. Activities begin at 6:30 p.m.
  2. All Rotary Clubs are responsible for transporting their students TO and FROM the event and that the parents have been notified of the arrangements. Arrange transportation with one of your Club’s members, a parent, or other responsible adult. Please note, students are not allowed to drive themselves to and from camp. Any student that arrives in their own car will not be admitted into the camp.
  3. Rotary Clubs must determine how and where they are meeting their selected students for transport to RYLA.
  4. It is NOT OK for students to drive themselves with or without parent permission. Students who arrive on their own will not be allowed to stay.
  5. Drivers should be provided a contact list of the students they are transporting along with the drop off/pick-up map/instructions. Club coordinator must ensure each student has a copy of the what to bring/not to bring list prior to leaving for RYLA.

  6. Pickup time is on Sunday, immediately following the Awards Ceremony, at approximately 12:30. All Drivers are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the awards ceremony. There will about 80 students exiting the building when time to go home.

Driving Instructions

From the West

Head east on I-10. Get off at exit 22 and turn left onto Hwy 281. Follow Hwy 281 until it intersects with Hwy 90 (approx. 7 miles).  Turn right onto Hwy 90 and go approx. 2 miles till you see the Burger King on the right.  Turn right onto Hwy 87.  Go north approx. 12 miles.  You will cross a concrete bridge, after the bridge you will turn right at the Adventures Unlimited sign onto Neil Kennington Road.  Go approx. one mile and turn right onto Lewis Road. Continue about 4 miles, till you see the Adventures Unlimited Resort sign on the right.  Turn right and go one mile down driveway.
 
From the East
Head west on I-10. Get off at exit 31 and turn right and go one mile to the intersection of Hwy 87 and Hwy 90.  Turn left onto Hwy 90 and go approx. 4 miles to Milton.  Cross over Blackwater River, go to the 4th traffic light and turn right onto Hwy 87N and continue approx. 12 miles.  You will cross a concrete bridge, just past the bridge you will turn right at the Adventures Unlimited sign. Continue about 4.5 miles to Adventures Unlimited.
 
From the North
From I65 South get off at exit 31 and go to Brewton, AL. Take AL Hwy 41 south from Brewton.  AL 41 turns into FL Hwy 87.   Go south on Hwy 87 when you get to the crossroads of Hwy 4 and Hwy 87,  you will have approx. 8 more miles to go on Hwy 87.   Turn left at the Adventures Unlimited sign and follow the signs until you reach Adventures Unlimited.
